News Title:  Hub City Week 4 Performance Rankings

 1. Air Force (4-0)
Air Force continues to roll, defeating the Supers this past week. Rob Cargile and Jason Mercer had 21 points apiece. The team can make a huge statement by defeating Showstopperz this week. Josh Brown made his return to the team, giving Air Force an added athletic presence and a very capable shooter. The team played without their big men, letting their guards dismantle the Supers in a performance highlighted by a baseline dunk and one by Mercer over two Super defenders.

2. C'Mon Son (3-1)
C'Mon Son hung on to defeat The Showstopperz 65-63 thanks to a last second defensive play made by Armond Ivory. Curtis Williams was on fire from outside in the second half, Ross Hardwick finished with 8 assists, Ivory scored 16 points on 7-10 shooting and James Perkins tallied 23 on 10 for 15. Sound efficient? This team is looking good every week. Bet they'd like another shot at Air Force though.

3. Showstopperz (2-2)
The Showstopperz suffered a heartbreaking loss to C'Mon Son that left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Now, they hope the return of Parnell Jones, Darryn Looper and Damon Banks will help them this week when they look to take their frustrations out on the number one Air Force. Rueven King has been excellent for the Champs thus far and Jerald Smoots has been solid on both ends as usual. Of the 2-2 teams, Show is definitely the strongest at this point.

4. Hot Shotzz (2-2)
life without Emmett Thomas began for Hot Shotzz and so far it hasn't been pleasant. Dre Jones had respectable numbers but the team will be looking for more from Frank Ducreux, Jason Whitmore and Gus Payne if they are to be successful. They'll have a chance to figure things out against the 1-3 D.A.W.G.S. this week, but if Josh Santiago's squad doesn't come prepared they may be in some real trouble.

5. Young Legends (2-2)
Murphy Cooper made his regular season debut and Young legends got back on track a little. The team defeated Hot Shotzz, but did so in relatively unimpressive fashion. Perhaps Hot Shotzz was just so overmatched that Young legends didn't need a stellar performance, but to make it higher up on the Performance Rankings, you have to show not just that you're better than the opposition, but also why you're better.

6. Supers (2-2)
The Supers have lost two in a row after beating DAWGS and gaining a victory via forfeit. The team is better than they have looked recently, but the rankings can be fickle and when we look at this usually solid team, one must ask the question 'what have you done for me lately?' Kelvin Simmons showed signs of life...they'll need that against the Street Legends.

7. Long Beach Knights (2-2)
After getting back on track against Street Legends, the Knights struggled to put points on the board against FAX and lost because of it. Herb Brown and Carl Montgomery haven't shown the offensive dominance this season that made them All Show selections last season. If the Knights are going to turn it around it has to be now. Some would argue that they have had the lightest schedule thus far of any team having yet to face Air Force, C'Mon Son, Showstopperz, Young legends or Supers. Well that changes in the last 6 weeks. First up: Young Legends.

8. FAX (1-2)
Robert Smith and Tim Thomson put up 14 points apiece against The Knights and helped FAX make it out of the cellar this week. The team has good enough pieces to make a playoff push, but they'll find out this week what it takes to be one of the top teams in Hub City when they take on C'Mon Son.

9. Street Legends (1-3)
Mauricio Mejia and Devan Jones were too much for DAWGS. M&M and DJ will have to duplicate their performance if they hope to defeat The Supers this week. They'll need more from Hector Hernandez in the paint and David Rueda on the perimeter. Kenny Mejia cannot have another four turnover game and Bryce Carino cannot go scoreless if the Legends want to walk out of Week 5 with a victory.

10. D.A.W.G.S. (1-3)
John Smith mad his return to Show Basketball, but DAWGS made their return to the loser's circle. Street Legends defended well and got the better of Sean Neal's squad, but with Rhian Donnadelle and John Smith in the backcourt, the DAWGS may have a combination that can makes things very interesting in future matchups. Hot Shotzz this week should be a good test for the DAWGS.
