Emmett Thomas Out With Ankle Injury |
|
The Hot Shotzz not only lost to Air Force 78-63 on Saturday, they also lost one of their best players in Emmett Thomas. Thomas suffered a severe ankle sprain going for a rebound and landing on the foot of Air Force's Gary Hester. The ankle swelled up almost immediately forcing Thomas out of the game. He watched the rest of the game from the sidelines and may possibly be doing so for the next 4 weeks.
In the two games prior to his injury, Hot Shotzz were 2-0 and Thomas was averaging 16.5 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game. He looked to be a strong candidate to participate in the All Show Game, but now his focus shifts to being prepared to play and help his team later in the season.
The Hot Shotzz are 2-1 with a game against Young Legends coming up.
